Registered Nurse- Med/Surg

 Provides direct & indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.  Communicates with physicians/Director/Charge Nurse /co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies & symptomatology.  Responds quickly & accurately to patient changes in condition/response to treatment.  Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.  Additional functions applicable when acting as Charge Nurse:  Makes patient care assignments based on the skill, experience & temperament of other nursing personnel & on patient acuity, ensuring patient & staff safety; Assist in evaluating performance & skills of Agency/Temporary staff & regular nursing staff.  Responsibly directs & precepts staff members as needed/assigned in all aspects of care.  Participates in quality & process improvement in the department during all phases from planning to implementing & sustaining efforts. Point of Care Testing, including collection, testing and reporting as it relates to job position. Demonstrates support of the Medical Center’s mission, values and vision in all actions and interactions with employees, patients, medical staff, guests and visitors through use of STAR key words: Service, Teamwork, Accountability/Attitude, Responsiveness.


  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Current BCLS/CPR certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. Uploading a copy of your current BLS card to your application is strongly preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.


  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Current ACLS preferred
  • Additional languages are preferred.
